RenewABLE community option

RenewABLE community option is a voluntary, subscription-based tariff that provides you, the customer, with the opportunity to access renewable resources.

As a subscriber to the tariff, you will pay a monthly subscription fee in exchange for a variable credit based on the output of the renewable resource that may be impacted by weather and availability.

You will also receive the renewable energy credits associated with your energy use. These renewable energy credits will be retired by Entergy Mississippi on your behalf.

    Customize your annual RenewABLE community option subscription

    Fixed monthly subscription cost that is in addition to your existing rate and a monthly subscription credit that varies based on actual renewable resource output which will be impacted by weather, resource age, and availability.

    Because solar facilities supporting RCO only generate power during daylight hours, Entergy Mississippi estimates the number of hours over a year when power will be produced by the plant (called the efficiency factor). By dividing your annual energy use expressed in kilowatt hours (kWh) by the efficiency factor expressed in hours, the maximum subscription size is determined.

    ‍For estimating your average usage, view the Energy Usage and Current C Graph on the top left section of your current bill, then draw an average line.

    In the above example, the average usage is 57,150 kWh, which would allow for a selection up to 300 kW.

    Customize Your Renewable Community Option

    What is this option?

    Low Income. Similar to Annual for qualifying Low Income Residential customers. Monthly subscription charge will not exceed Monthly Subscription Credit.‍

    Things to Keep in Mind:

    • Account holder must meet applicable eligibility requirements for the federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

    • Customer must self-certify; the Company may, in its discretion, request proof of eligibility

    • If a customer has misrepresented eligibility during the self-certification process, the Company may, in its discretion, permanently exclude the customer from participating​
